“Troubled Waters—Palestinians Denied Fair Access to Water”, an Amnesty International report released Tuesday, finds the Israeli government’s water restrictions to Palestinians were discriminatory. Since its occupation of the West Bank in 1967, the government has expanded settlements to monopolize the water supply and has continues to maintain a blockade on the Gaza Strip for a third year. “Adding to an already dire situation, Israel’s war on Gaza early this year left water reservoirs, wells, sewage networks and pumping stations severely damaged,” al Jazeera reports (2:57):
